An $83,000 Reason to Celebrate

And a reminder of what your vehicle can do.

Sometimes generosity arrives on four wheels.

We are overjoyed to share that our vehicle donation program recently received one of the most extraordinary gifts in our shelter’s history: a 2022 Forest River Coachmen RV that generated over $83,000 for the animals in our care.

Every dollar goes directly to supporting the 9,000+ pets each year at Washington’s largest non-profit shelter: the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County.

That means more kibble, more vet care, more enrichment, and more love for the cats, dogs, rabbits, and other critters waiting for their second chance at a safe and loving home.

We accept nearly any type of vehicle, running or not: cars, trucks, trailers, boats, RVs, motorcycles, campers, off-road vehicles, planes, heavy equipment, and even farm machinery. (Non-running vehicles should be in one piece, towable, and have an engine.)

   2. Call our partners at 855-500-RIDE or fill out a quick online form to get started.
   3. Free towing is arranged from wherever your vehicle is — home, shop, or tow yard.
   4. We handle the rest, and every dollar goes directly to animal care.
