Rescue Effect Adoption Event

The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County is proud to partner with the ASPCA once again for The Rescue Effect, a nationwide campaign that helps animal welfare organizations engage their communities and find loving homes for more shelter pets.

When you adopt, you’re doing more than changing one animal’s life. You’re creating space and resources for us to help the next pet in need. That’s The Rescue Effect: when you help one, you help many.

Thanks to a grant from the ASPCA, adoption fees will be waived for dogs, cats, and rabbits 6 months of age and older during this event, making it easier than ever to welcome a new best friend into your family.

For pets awaiting their spay/neuter surgery, adoption hold fees will also be waived. While these pets may not be able to go home the same day, placing them on hold ensures they’re reserved for you until their surgery is complete and they’re ready to head home. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we prepare them for their next chapter.
