S.P.O.T. Mobile Veterinary Care
See S.P.O.T. Save Lives!
We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of our mobile veterinary unit, S.P.O.T.! This 26-foot hospital on wheels features a fully-equipped surgery suite and exam area to provide on-site vaccinations, wellness exams, and spay/neuter services throughout Pierce County.

Why S.P.O.T.?
S.P.O.T. stands for spay/neuter, preventative medicine, outreach, and transport—just a few of the services this state-of-the-art vehicle will deploy into our community. Using a targeted approach, S.P.O.T. will deliver veterinary care where it’s most difficult to access, making a meaningful difference for pets and their people.
S.P.O.T. Programs
S.P.O.T. is already playing a vital role in expanding access to care for animals and pet owners across our community. Through our targeted Trap/Neuter/Return program, S.P.O.T. brings spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations directly to local cat colonies, helping stabalize populations. It also supports our Vaccine and Wellness Clinics at the shelter, where we offer affordable vaccines, microchips, and preventative care for income-qualifying residents. Additionally, S.P.O.T. has allowed us to increase surgery capacity for shelter pet spay/neuter procedures, helping address the limitations of our facility. S.P.O.T. has also been used for pop-up adoption events around the community, bringing adoptable pets right to potential adopters.
Take a look inside!
We are truly grateful to the Puyallup Tribe of Indians and our dedicated supporters for making S.P.O.T. possible. Your commitment has made a lasting difference for animals and the people who love them.
