It likely comes as no surprise that medical care is one of our top expense categories, especially considering it’s never fully possible to plan for what could come through our doors. Thankfully, with your support, we have a seasoned veterinary team that is ready to respond to whatever may come their way.

With supplies & resources at the ready, our veterinary team was recently able to further-refine their surgical practices by hosting members of the ASPCA ASNA team for an in-house, training that focused on optimizing surgery flow, specifically tailored to our small-but-mighty surgery space. Along with training, the ASPCA assessed our facilities, awarding us a silver-standard and advising on some renovations that could improve the quality of our care even more.

Having their expertise on-site was truly invaluable. Our surgery space is on the cramped side, and working with the ASPCA team to develop workflows specifically for our setup will greatly improve operations for our team and the animals in our care.
