Meet the Adoptable Dogs
On average, there are about 50 dogs available for adoption each day. Shelter dogs are mostly mixed breeds, but about 20% are purebreds. The typical dog is 40 pounds or more. Currently, about 25% are small breeds.
Standard adoption fees for adult dogs range from $40-$130 depending upon the dog’s size, breed, age and other factors. For puppies under four months, the standard fee is $300, with $50 refundable upon completion of a puppy class. Puppies between four months and one year are $200, with $50 refundable upon completion of a puppy class.
Occasionally, highly desirable pets (such as purebred or small-breeds) may be priced $280-$380. This allows us to lower the adoption fee for older or difficult-to-adopt animals. Promotional specials are often available; please contact us for fee information about specific animals.
