Paw It Forward
Does your business’ values align with the mission of the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County? Do you want to make a positive impact on your community while increasing your company’s visibility? Consider a Paw It Forward partnership!
We are seeking community partners to help generate awareness and support for our pets in need. Our partners donate a percentage of their total sales or from a specific item, event, or offering to our shelter for a duration of their choosing. This program is flexible and customizable to each business, making giving both fun and easy!
What are some creative ways you can participate?
- Donate 5%, 10%, or more of your revenue for any duration of time to our organization.
- Have a coffee shop, bar, or restaurant? Consider creating a pet-themed drink special with funds supporting our shelter.
- Round-up for rescues! Offer customers the opportunity to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar and donate the difference to HSTPC.
- Have another idea? We’re happy to hear it!
As a participating business, you will receive:
- Your business name, logo, and link on our Paw It Forward website page which receives over 77,000 visits each month
- Promotion to more than 69,000 animal lovers through our social media platforms
- Inclusion as a partner in our e-newsletter sent to 30,000 subscribers

Host a Donation Box
Hosting a donation box for the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County at your business is an easy way to help the animals! Coffee shops, gas stations, delis, and businesses with high check out traffic are great spots for a donation box.
Donation boxes increase awareness of the homeless animals at our shelter and also shows your support of our efforts in our community. The funds collected in the donation banks will be used to provide food, shelter, and veterinary care for thousands of animals the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County cares for each year.
How to Get Involved
Are you a business with a little extra counter space? Contact us to add a small donation box to your area. We have a designated volunteer who will work with you to monitor the box and collect donations. All you have to do is encourage people to drop their spare change inside!
