On average, there are about 35 cats available for adoption each day. Shelter cats are usually mixed domestic breeds, but occasionally purebred Persians, Siamese and Maine Coons are available.

Adoptions Includes
- Veterinary wellness examination
- Spay or neuter surgery

Adoption Fees
The standard cat or kitten adoption fee is $98, or $166 for two littermates. Cat adoption fees are often lower, however,depending on the cat’s age and other factors. Promotional specials are often available - check the shelter for adoption fees on individual pets.
Senior Adoption Program: If you are 62 years of age or over and live in Pierce County, you can adopt a cat for only $25 if the cat is one year or older and came to the shelter already spayed or neutered.
