The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County is thrilled to welcome animal rescue icon, Hannah Shaw, better known as the Kitten Lady! Join us for a day of community building and life-saving education as Hannah shares her best practices for ensuring the well-being of cats and kittens, both in our homes and in the community.

Community Cats Workshop
Learn how to help outdoor cats and kittens through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and responsible colony care. Topics include:

• What to do if you find a kitten
• Understanding and supporting community cats
• Trapping, colony care, and advocacy best practices

Saving Kittens Workshop
Designed for all experience levels, this workshop provides essential knowledge on kitten welfare and foster care. Gain essential knowledge on kitten care, from newborns to 8-week-olds. Topics include:

• Kitten development and health assessments
• Bottle-feeding, weaning, and socialization
• Monitoring stool, urine, and overall well-being

Schedule of Events:

• 9:30 a.m. – Doors Open
• 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Community Cats Workshop
• 12 p.m. – Lunch Break / Vendor Village*
• 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. – Saving Kittens Workshop
• 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. – VIP Meet and Greet with Hannah Shaw
