Donate to Help Animals

Your gift to the Humane Society provides food, shelter, veterinary care, and a loving touch to thousands of animals in need. Donations make it possible to find loving homes for 7,000 animals every year, re-unite 2,000 pets with their owners, and spay and neuter thousands of animals belonging to low-income families.

Tax Deductions

Memberships are based on a calendar year and all gifts made within the year are cumulative. Donations are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.  The Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County is a 501(c)3, independent non-profit organization which depends upon the generous donations of our members to fund the vital programs and services we offer. The Humane Society is not a government agency nor associated with any national or other animal welfare organization.

Automatic or Recurring Gifts

Many members choose the convenience of recurring gifts, in which a set amount of  $10, $20, or more is automatically deducted from a credit card or checking account each month. These regular gifts add up to a generous contribution by the end of the year, giving donors the ease and convenience of repeat contributions that add up to a lot of help for homeless pets.

Sponsor a Kennel

Consider sponsoring a dog or cat kennel for a year for just $250. A special paw plaque will be placed on the kennel to acknowledge your gift.

Memorials & Honorariums

Donations may be made in memory, or honor, of an animal or individual. Please specify the name of the pet or person being remembered or honored.  Also, let us know the name/address of the person or organization making the donation, so that we may acknowledge the gift. Honorarium and Memorial donations are listed in the Humane Society’s newsletter, Paw Talk.
