Before you decide to relinquish your pet to the Humane Society, please read this first for helpful information.

If you have no other choice than to bring your pet to the Humane Society, please be aware that while we do everything possible to find your pet a home, we cannot guarantee adoption for any pet.  The fees for relinquishing your pet to the Humane Society are:

Tacoma, Fircrest, Dupont, Steilacoom, Lakewood, University Place, and Unincorporated Pierce County:

Dogs:  $68
Puppies must be at least eight weeks old.
The Humane Society does not accept Pit Bulls from owners.*         

Cats/Rabbits:  $58 for one, $48 for each additional from the same household

All other Pierce County municipalities and Out-Of-County:

Dogs:  $95
Puppies must be at least eight weeks old.
The Humane Society does not accept Pit Bulls from owners.*

Cats/Rabbits:  $95 for one, $85 for each additional from the same household.

*Due to the overwhelming numbers of stray Pit Bulls brought to the Humane Society, and the difficulty in finding thiem appropriate homes, the Humane Society does not accept Pit Bulls from owners.
