Junior Volunteers

The Junior Volunteer Program at the Humane Society is for kids 5 to 15 who love animals and can’t get enough of them! 
Junior Volunteers participate in fun, interactive, educational workshops once a month and help homeless animals here at the shelter by participating in Humane Society events and projects.

If you are interested in joining, please attend one of the following information sessions: 

April 12
June 14
August 9 and
October 11. 

1:00 to 2:00 pm

Directions to the Humane Society

To join, you will need to attend the Information Session and complete an application.  A $30 annual membership fee is requested at the time of enrollment.  The fee covers materials and supplies for the various workshops held throughout the year.  
Workshops for 2008 include:

Creating a Backyard Habitat
Animals Around the World
Careers with Animals, and
The History of Dogs. 
and more!  

Workshops typically include a project, educational materials, and in many cases interaction with animals.  There are also opportunities to help with Humane Society events and projects.
