ADOPTATHON 2005

PROVIDE A LOVING AND PERMANENT HOME FOR A DESERVING ANIMAL

The Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County will join other shelters nationwide on Saturday, April 30th for ADOPTATHON 2005.  The event at the William Gazecki Animal Shelter, 2608 Center Street, Tacoma begins at 9 a.m. where adopters can choose from hundreds of homeless animals.   In addition to the event at the Shelter, homeless pets will also be waiting to be adopted at partnering businesses throughout our community.  These off-site adoption centers include: Freighthouse Square in Tacoma, Wild Birds in Gig Harbor and PETsMART in Tacoma and Lakewood.

Even though the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County finds homes for more homeless animals than any other shelter in the state of Washington, it is still not enough, as the number of animals in need of a good home exceeds the space available for them at the Shelter.

Please help save the lives of loving animals by adopting your next family member on this special adoption day.  All adoptions include; wellness exam, spay/neuter, microchip with national registration, initial vaccinations, pet care counseling, and for cats, feline leukemia test, collar and cat carrier.  Free pet toys will be given with every adoption.
